OUR services
Additional services IEL provides that help empower and impact girls and women of Afghanistan.
EMPLOYMENT READINESS
IEL’s job readiness program in Sacramento supports refugee families and English learners with ESL classes, digital literacy training, and career coaching. Services include help with resumes, job searches, applications, interviews, and financial literacy. Using a trauma-informed approach, IEL creates a supportive environment where learners build confidence and gain the skills needed for employment and long-term independence.
advising
Our Student Advisor helps students find scholarships and develop their academic goals. This service is intended for students seeking to pursue higher education online or at universities outside Afghanistan, such as the Asian University for Women in Bangladesh.
Mentoring
Our team mentors and encourages highly motivated women who intend to enhance their lives through frequent video calls and texts.
HEALTH SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES
Our coordinator in Kabul assists students and their parents with hospital visits and, in some cases, we cover medical expenses for our students.
